Beginning tomorrow, Thursday, August 2, the Vineyard will be back to our regular office hours and will be scheduling drop offs and pick ups. If you are in need of resources or would like to drop off donations, please call 530-527-2449 or contact us on Facebook or by email. Our location has seen a significant decrease in people stopping by for resources as many folks have been able to return to their homes that have had evacuations lifted. So in order to best support victims of the #CarrFire, we’re transitioning toward partnering with the Vineyard City Church in Redding as well as other organizations in the city of Redding. We will not be staffing our location from 8am until 8pm after today, Wednesday, August 1. If you need to get ahold of anyone to schedule something, please contact us by phone (530-527-2449) or on Facebook.
We’ll still be receiving donations for the foreseeable future for anyone who cannot make it up to Redding or who cannot find an organization who is currently receiving donations.
Going forward we’ll be doing our best to supply the Redding Vineyard with resources as they begin to serve their city. There is a planned school supplies giveaway for Thursday, August 9th, that we will be participating in (more info to come soon). We’re also going to be determining the best way to send up volunteers and resources in the coming weeks as families begin to search for things that made it through the fire, etc. We’ll keep you posted as we go forward.
