Have you ever had, or known someone who has had an extreme life event… Something that uproots or changes life in ways that you would have never expected or thought possible? Unfortunately, I have — losing my 56 year old husband to cancer was my extreme life crisis. Fortunately, I had a great support system through it, and post crisis, found even more love and support here at The Vineyard. As a church, our relative goal with the crisis care team is “to help those in the midst of extraordinary challenges and trials.”
We define crisis in this ministry as a life impacting event or circumstance – It may be an injury, illness, birth, loss of a loved one, natural disaster such as the recent fires, etc. It may be a time in one’s life where they just aren’t ok – a job loss, mental fatigue, marital challenge – and you need some support to be better. Crisis Care provides limited term or transitional assistance to lighten the burdens of a difficult season.
We have a great group of people on the team, but it really takes a village! We ask that each of you pray and look inward to FIND YOUR GIFT OR PASSION – We all have something to offer – Where can you serve, and how can you contribute to make a difference in the life of a person or family?
Whether it be in-person prayer, wellness and emotional support, meals, house and home (cleaning, yards, light repair), transportation to medical appointments, child care, shopping/errands, etc., WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Sign up today by contacting the church or filling out the form below! We need to build our volunteer base in all areas, but one specific need in the group is handymen who can assist with minor home/car repair, moving of heavy items, or yard clean up – is this you?
“The generous prosper and are satisfied. Those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.” (Proverbs 11:25)
